About Us

Hey Everyone! This is Lauren & this is Page.  Here are some fun facts that will help you get to know us a little better.

I (Lauren) will be writing my answers to each Q in red. :-)

& I, Page, will be writing in this color...

When did you guys first meet and become friends?

I met Page back in '98 when my dad was stationed in Tennessee, teaching ROTC at the local college there.  We met at church, but didn't really get to know each other until right before I moved to North Dakota.  Needless to say, we immediately clicked but didn't have much time to form a friendship due to the fact that I moved in '99.  I remember going to your house and sleeping over for the first time. We stayed up all night talking.   It wasn't long after that we found out you had to move.  : (   Sad times...
How long were you apart?

I moved in '99 and haven't seen her since.  :-(   Double sad times...
When and how did you resume your friendship?

We got back into contact thanks to the wonderful world of Facebook,  in January '09.  It was amazing how we clicked instantly and had so much in common.  The Lord knew exactly when to bring our friendship back together!!  All things in His timing are perfect.
How many miles apart are you?

Hmmm, I have no idea.  One second, I'll go mapquest it. :-)  1532.79 miles -crazy huh?  Way too far!!!!!!
How many hours a week (or day) do you spend on the phone each other?

Umm, is this true confession time or something?  Did my hubby write out these Qs? ;-)  Well, I will preface it with the fact that I get wayyy more accomplished when I'm on the phone.  (me, too!) I'm seriously like super woman on steroids when it comes to all the housework I get done while talking to Page.  10hrs a week?  It does vary, and Sundays are our day of rest - from talking to each other.  haha ha ha!

Describe your favorite things about the other person in three words.

Genuine - Amazing - Friend      honest, sensational, home-girl   : )

How did you meet your husband?

Ahh, we have a wonderful love story, I will definitely tell you about it sometime.  I met my amazingly, wonderful husband at church.
Well, I guess we'll have to do a blog just about meeting our hubbies.  It is a long (but wonderful) story!

How long have you been married?

4 years of incredible bliss, that's what happens when you marry who God has for you!
Me, too! We actually got married only months apart!  Me first!!  : )

How many kids do you have?

2 - Thaddeus & Lola (so what if they're adorable dogs?  They still count, right? )
We have 1 right now, our little red headed son, Isaac.  He's the coolest kid ever.  He was a total surprise, but the best surprise.

What is your favorite thing about your husband?

Wow, I have a long list of favorite things!  God has truly blessed me over and abundantly with the most wonderful man.  My favorite thing is that he has a heart for God and loves me more perfectly because of it.
My favorite thing about my husband is his devotion to God and how serious he takes his role as the leader of our home.  He leads our home, with Godly love, and is...  well...  he's just the best!  I love him.

What is a normal day like in your house?

I'm constantly doing things -housework, cooking, taking care of the dogs, making jewelry, taking pictures and editing, computer work, gardening, etc.  A woman's work is never done, but I LOVE being a keeper at home. (me, too.)
Normal day?  It's never normal when there is a 2 yr. old involved.  Let's just say--I do my best to get the chores done, work on photography, work on my crafts, and stay ahead...

What’s your favorite food?

Hands down, SUSHI.  The end.
I'm certainly not picky, and I like so many things (as my figure shows), so it's hard to narrow down...  maybe dessert?  : )

What is one ingredient that you always have on hand?

Butter aka heaven ;-D
Salt.  If I've got that--I can cook anything.

What’s your favorite and least favorite household chore?

Dishes!  ha- totally kidding there.  Favorite would be laundry, thanks to my seriously hi-tech front loaders! (no fair!)  Least Favorite - Ironing or Vacuuming.  Wanna come over and do that for me, Page?
No, thanks! Ok, well--maybe if you'll come clean my basement...  My favorite would be the kitchen. If my kitchen is clean, I feel all together and sane.  Least Favorite:  the bathroom.  I'd just as soon eat a live cricket.

What is your secret addiction?

Who me?  ;-)  Coffee.  there I said it!  And maybe shoes.....purses too maybe?
Garfield, the comic.  I've read 'em all, and still laugh! (out loud!!)

What is something that annoys you?

Miscommunication/lack of it/you get the idea.
Text abbreviations.  I hate them.  Please keep them 2 yourself.  : )

What is something you are afraid of?

SPIDERS!!!!
Spiders.  I'm a severe arachnophobic.

Name a little known fact about yourself.

I stepped on a baby stingray while swimming in the Meditteranean Sea, and wow did it hurt!  Not something you do everyday.
I hate squirrels.  They are too jumpy and fidgety!  It freaks me out!! (There is a story here...)

What’s your favorite past time?

Spending time with my sweet husband.
I love spending my time with my hubby, too!  He really is the best.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Australia, or Italy, or Fiji.  ha!
This may be the ultimate boring answer, but I would stay right where I am (Tennessee boonies).  I wouldn't mind visiting other places for extended amount of time, but this is always the place I want to call home.

What is your life verse or one of your favorites?

Romans 12:1-2
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee:  be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."  Isaiah 41:10
