Welcome

This blog is about two friends, miles apart, striving to pattern our lives after the Proverbs 31 woman. Here you will find our daily journeys, whether serious, funny, practical, or inventive. Thanks for stopping by and we hope you'll stop by often!

Thankful Every Day

Psalm 107: 1 "O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for his mercy endureth for ever."

As you know we've been posting these "Thankful Thursdays" for quite some time. They're to encourage us to keep a thankful spirit, since we all have SO much to praise the Lord for! I'm sure some of you have seen the "Thankful Challenge" where people are writing down a blessing each day until Thanksgiving. I really like that challenge, because it's too easy to focus on the negative instead of the daily blessings. Would you like to join us in doing this? We'll post what we're thankful for daily, until Thanksgiving. Feel free to leave a comment letting us know what YOU are thankful for!

November 4th - I'm thankful for the Lord providing exceptionally GREAT weather for us to travel by- our entire vacation!! We don't take that lightly considering that it is NOVEMBER in NORTH DAKOTA which often means there is SNOW. This is something my husband and I have been talking about a lot, since we're STILL on the road. What a blessing to have sunny skies and clear roads to travel by! Thank you Lord for keeping us safe!! We're almost home! (oh and it's supposed to be in the 60's this Saturday! Amazing!)

Have a Thankful Thursday, everyone!

  1. I am thankful for the children I have the privlage of doing daycare for. They can be a handful, but they find a way to put a smile on my face every day (multiple times a day)! I thank God for these children and all children he has given to us!

  2. I am thankful for the Lord's direction and perfect timing. I tend to rush things... a lot... But He is teaching me and helping me (particularly here lately!) ~Page

  4. I am thankful for the ministry! God knew what He was doing when He placed us in Iowa, even though I tried to ignore His constant tugging on my heart. It was hard to move from family, but we have a family here too in our church! I am thankful that when we think that we know what's best, God knocks us down a few rungs and says,"Hey! I am God, don't you think I am going to provide?" :o)
